At Ourboro, we believe homeownership shouldn’t feel out of reach. This belief is shared by Miles S. Nadal, Founder and Executive Chairman of Peerage Capital, whose vision and leadership are helping to make it a reality for more Canadians.

Miles Nadal: Entrepreneur, Investor, Philanthropist

Miles Nadal is a celebrated Canadian entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist with a long history of building successful businesses. Over the course of his career, he has created, scaled, and guided companies across sectors ranging from marketing and media, real estate, and wealth management.

When it comes to business, Miles believes that those who “invest in passion” will always succeed. He founded Peerage Capital to build businesses with Partners who are passionate, driven entrepreneurs, with a clear vision for the growth of their businesses.

Beyond investments, he is deeply committed to philanthropy, supporting causes in education, health, arts, and community development, notably the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre & Miles Nadal Heart Centre at Mt. Sinai Hospital, both in Toronto. His approach to business is inseparable from his values, building partnerships that create enduring value and not just financial returns.

Extending Miles’ Vision

Peerage Capital is one of North America’s leading private investment firms. More than a financial partner, Peerage is a long-term collaborator with innovative, entrepreneurial companies.

Through its growing network of partner companies, Peerage helps manage and administer roughly $11 billion in assets. Peerage Realty Partners is one of the largest residential real estate service platforms in North America, reaching more than $50 billion in home sales each year. With over 250 offices and 6,000 sales representatives and employees, Peerage Realty integrates services like mortgage, title, insurance, escrow, and property management into a seamless ecosystem that reflects Nadal’s belief in value creation.

But what truly defines Peerage, and by extension Nadal’s leadership, is not just scale, it’s the commitment to building relationships and aligning success with positive social impact.

How Peerage and Ourboro Came Together

In 2021, after meeting with Ourboro’s founders, Nicholas Pope and Norm Tasevski, Nadal and Peerage recognized a shared passion for addressing one of the biggest challenges facing Canadians: access to first-time homeownership. This led to a strategic investment in Ourboro, aligning Peerage’s entrepreneurial capital with Ourboro’s shared-equity model.

Our approach bridges the down payment gap by offering up to $250,000 in equity support in exchange for a share of the future appreciation of the home. This ensures our success is directly tied to the homeowner’s success, a philosophy that echoes Nadal’s people-first approach to business.

Growing the Impact

Together with Peerage, we’ve expanded the scale and reach of our mission:

  • Partnered with the LiUNA Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada to expand Ourboro’s shared equity program; secured $5 million in Government of Canada funding.
  • Expanded our capital base with support from Scotiabank, CMHC, LiUNA, and Peerage Capital, setting a target of growing from nearly 200 co-owned homes to 600 by 2026.
  • Launched a $50 million Opportunity Fund with BOF Capital to support greater homeownership in Canada’s Black communities.

You can read more about these partnerships on our press page.

As Nadal himself put it:

“Ourboro facilitates the Canadian dream through an innovation that never existed before.”

Why This Matters

For homebuyers, it means more doors opening, literally. For investors, it demonstrates how purposeful partnerships can drive sustainable growth while creating meaningful social impact.

Peerage Capital’s support is rooted in the vision and values of Miles Nadal, allowing Ourboro to stay focused on helping people get into homes while building equity for the future.
